Kevin 'The Might Tree' Durand was born on January 14th in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He was born an only child and he grew up playing hockey and he graduated from St. Ignatius High School in Thunder Bay.

On October 1st in 2010, Kevin married his long-time girlfriend, Sandra Cho. The two of them have been dating for years and they're extremely happy together. They also adopted a German Shepherd.
